Consuming both black and green tea is associated with improvements in chronic liver disease. Specifically, green tea, not black tea has been associated with less incidence of liver stenosis, liver cirrhosis, Hepatocellular, and chronic liver disease. Tea consumption has been associated with reduced rates of depression. Individuals who consumed at least 3 cups of tea per day were 37% less likely to suffer from depression.

There are limited studies analyzing the affect tea has on social health. It can be hypothesized that tea and tea culture would have a positive effect on social health. In many cultures’ tea is a drink shared at gatherings, a reason to invite someone into a house, or a beverage to socialize over. For that reason, it would be predicted that tea would be beneficial to individual’s social health. As in many cultures’ tea brings people together.

Overall the research suggests there is a positive correlation between consumption of tea and positive health affects. An increase in tea consumption has been shown to have a direct increase on positive health outcomes. Drinking 3 cups of green tea per day, in comparison to 1 cup per day has been associated with improved health benefits.

Although there has not been any studies investigating the effect of if too much tea can have a negative outcome on health. Consuming 3 cups of green tea per day may be beneficial to your health and well being.

Tea Health Benefits Evidence:

There have been many studies regarding tea, green tea and the health benefits. There have also been analysis of the studies and reviews performed. Although the large number of studies, there are few randomized controlled trials, the gold standard of evidence. So, although a link can be associated with green tea and many health benefits, a causality for most is difficult to determine without randomized controlled trials.

For most studies, consumption of 3 or more cups of green tea were associated with health benefits. Most people who consume 3 cups of more of green tea per day are based in Asian countries. Asian countries have been associated with a healthier lifestyle. Although consumption of green tea is associated with the improved health benefits, other lifestyle factors would also influence the improvements in health.
